CFLs are far better than HID or high intensity discharge lights for smaller grows because they do not put out as much heat and are extremely energy efficient. When a veg spectrum 6500k is used for growth the results can be astounding. Your plants will grow amazingly fast using 6500k for growth and 2400k for flowering.
